While many parts of South Africa have limited malaria risk, certain areas like the Kruger National Park, Northern Natal, Zululand, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Mozambique do require caution. For detailed advice, it's best to consult your general practitioner or your local travel clinic before travelling.

1. Use insect repellent on exposed skin. Repellents with 20%-35% DEET are most recommended.
